First, contact me for a free consultation to learn how yoga therapy can benefit you! At this time, I meet clients in their home (Nassau/Suffolk County) or virtually (via Zoom) for sessions. Home sessions are great because it helps you to get into the habit of practicing on your own at home!
The first session is 90 minutes where we meet for a thorough health intake and assessment, where we get to know each other and I begin to understand your health concerns and we begin our yoga practice. I take audio recordings of the yoga practices I teach you and send them to you so you can practice on your own, which is a vitally important component of the therapeutic process.
After the initial session, sessions are 60 minutes and these sessions involve an evolving and personalized yoga practice, where each session you learn more and dive deeper into practices that I design to address your health concerns. Practices include movement and yoga poses, breathing, meditation and self-reflection, and introduction to yoga philosophy.
Generally, when starting yoga therapy, it is best to have weekly or biweekly sessions, and over time sessions will be spaced out and less frequent. At least four sessions are recommended. It is my goal to have you feeling inspired and empowered to continue your yoga practice on your own!

Testimonials
“Kristina is a god-send. Recurrent neck pain, with an X-ray showing typical age related bone issues left me pretty discouraged about the prognosis. Kristina constructed an individualized plan for me, and sure enough given weeks of practice, Kristina took me to a much better place. The neck is better and the headaches and shoulder/neck pain have dramatically decreased. The meditative, slow, focused stretching and strengthening has gotten me to a place where I have much more postural awareness and am content with my level of comfort, mobility and well being. I highly recommend Kristina's efforts and have found her to be professional, focused and therapeutic.” -AR, 70 years old, sought yoga therapy for chronic neck pain
“I have been receiving yoga therapy with Kristina for over a month now and I can honestly say my life has changed considerably for the better. I came to her at a time in my life where I was experiencing chronic pain and discomfort for months, along with crippling anxiety and panic attacks. The grounding practices she creates help me connect to my breath and relax my body in a way I didn’t know was possible. After only two weeks of practices I went from 2 or more panic attacks a day to zero. My mood has improved, my outlook is more positive, and I look forward to the peace I feel after practicing. Kristina is calm and nurturing, making you feel comfortable and relaxed. I love that she records the audio of our sessions so that I can practice on my own and build variety with my practice. Kristina is accommodating to my schedule and very responsive to emails and questions I have. I truly feel like a different person since I started practicing with her. My ten year old daughter even noticed the change in me stating, “Mom, since you’ve been doing yoga you have yelled less, seem more happy and look prettier!” The pain I was experiencing has significantly decreased and she gives me the confidence to know that I can heal myself through this practice. Yoga therapy has changed the way I look at yoga, healing, and my life. I am so grateful to have found Kristina and look forward to continuing my path to healing with her guidance. Kristina, you were a very bright light at a very dark time in my life. Thank you!” - DC, 35 years old, sought yoga therapy for anxiety and chronic pain (vulvodynia)
